This past week (and really, all of May) have been absolutely crazy between two bouts of pinkeye, my dad’s birthday, Mother’s Day, a business trip for Eric (whilst the kids and I stayed with my mom) and kids’ end-of-year/start of summer events.
So I apologize for being spotty with blogging! I’ve got plenty of content planned for June but I guess I expected to be able to fly by the seat of my pants in May. Needless to say, that isn’t happening.
I’ll be back soon and will try to get to writing a couple of ideas I had for May content–but truthfully, I might not be back writing regularly until we’re in the swing of summer next month.
I hope you’re having a lovely start to summer (or winter, depending on your location) and for mums, surviving this chaotic time of year with your head on a bit straighter than mine at the moment 😛
Eric and I did manage a date night dinner last night! We tried Ciao Bella in Bloomington, and although I was a bit nervous about the GF offerings for him (Italian and gluten-free don’t usually mix well) the food and ambiance were incredible. It’s on the pricier side but so worth it… we’ll definitely be back!
We shared caramelized brussel sprouts as an appetizer, I had chicken and spinach fettuccine for dinner (Eric had chicken and goat cheese risotto), and we split a sampler of gelatos for dessert. So good. We pretty much rolled home and into bed straightaway afterwards!
