Hello friends! I have a serious case of the post-holiday blahs at the moment and haven’t been sleeping well on top of that–so let’s just say my motivation to write anything, for the blog or anywhere else, is basically nonexistent.
I recently shared my 6 top crunchy parenting books of 2021 and I meant to share my Goodreads profile in that post, too! But I forgot. Yesterday I didn’t get to touch anything blog-related as I was at the doctor with a migraine in the morning and after, tending to a baby who didn’t nap. Then all afternoon and evening we were on the edge of our seats following news from the Marshall Fire in Colorado, hoping it didn’t burn down homes of family.

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful holiday with family and friends–whether virtual or in-person. I woke up feeling seriously under the weather today, so I’m just popping in to share a couple of photos from our Christmas before taking another nap (and hopefully a COVID test if I can get my hands on one).
Our morning started bright and early at 7am when the boys woke up. We had our usual breakfasts: Eric fasts, little E has oatmeal, baby has his bottle and I have something with eggs/veggies/fruit. The whole point of Christmas, to me as a child, was the presents. I wasn’t raised in a Christian household so whilst I knew the real reason for the holiday, I didn’t truly understand the significance. And we always did Christmas at home, often without extended family, so togetherness wasn’t a huge part of our celebration either.
My parents didn’t go over the top, but we usually got one large gift plus several smaller ones like books or clothes. Plus lots of gifts from grandparents, aunts and uncles.
