I’ve recently adopted a new habit: taking a quick walk around the neighborhood once the kids are in bed. I get the dishwasher running, tidy up the living room and head out just as the sun is starting to set.

It has been go go go here recently, ever since Eric’s parents visited in mid-May. We’ve had pizza nights and brunches with friends, my grandpa’s 80th birthday, wrapping up little E’s school year at the community center and SO many medical appointments.
This week alone, we have a pediatrician visit (and will need to schedule a follow-up; ugh, allergies), my dentist cleaning, two eye appointments (for Eric + me), and physical therapy for the baby.… Read More »

Is anyone still there? It’s been more than 3 months since my last blog post–had no idea when I posted that I was just about two weeks away from meeting baby! Then there was our ICC stay, Eric went back to work a couple of weeks later, and we’ve just barely been getting by since then.
To be fair, if you looked in our house, you’d probably think we were doing great. Relatively clean, bills paid, fridge stocked, garden beds refreshed for the growing season… it’s true, we have the basics under control.
