Previous wedding day posts: Hair & Makeup // My Wedding Dress // Our Wedding Ceremony
After chatting with family and friends for a few minutes at church, we headed down the road to Arneson Acres to take formal wedding pictures. Arneson Acres is a beautiful public gardens, maintained by the City of Edina and volunteers from the community. It’s a special place to me as I used to picnic there with my family, I had my senior pictures taken there, and we had our engagement pictures done there last year.
Prior to the wedding, I detailed all of the different photo combinations of family and friends with our photographers. They had the list in hand on our wedding day and were so efficient! We only had an hour-ish, but there was still time for several photos of just E and I, after the family and bridal party pictures were done.
As usual, my favorite photos were the unposed ones ๐ But she took some lovely posed pictures too!
After portraits, we snapped a couple of quick informal photos with our wedding party. It’s crazy to think that nearly exactly six years before that picture was taken, I was having my senior photos taken in front of the same fountain! Life has changed so much in such unexpected ways since then.
Anyways–then it was off to the reception! I’m excited to share my DIY decor, our food and cake, and more with you soon.

I’d love to know, though:ย What’s something you love about the way you look? Or multiple things!
I remember in my senior photos how much I hated my squinty smile. In my wedding pictures? I’m glad I look like me! That’s my natural face and I look genuinely happy. In general, I tend to think that my nose, eyebrows, and hair are my best features ๐
