I feel like that title makes me seem a million years old… well, I am turning 30 this month, so same thing, right? 😛
I’ve written before about having a complicated relationship with social media. I ‘m on-and-off with Instagram and Facebook. Sometimes I get overwhelmed, log off and delete the apps… usually for days but occasionally for a few weeks. I don’t have TikTok, X or Snapchat either, so I’m really not up to speed with social media.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to love longform content once again. I don’t have much time to watch YouTube videos at the moment, but blogs and newsletters are my current thing. Below is a list of my favorite inspiring email newsletters for women at the moment—the ones that make me smile when they land in my inbox, because it feels like a delicious little gift of self-care to spend a few minutes reading them.
The Best Inspiring Email Newsletters for Women
- Fiona Ferris (you can subscribe in the sidebar on her blog). It’s a compilation of her blog/Instagram posts from the week. She often includes pretty pictures of her home decor, New Zealand landscapes, and her adorable animals. Lately she’s also been answering reader questions related to elegant living on a budget. I love all of it.
- Scandi Class by Annabella Daily. She is a Finnish mom of three boys living in the US, and her content reflects on the differences between Scandinavian and American parenting. Her short Instagram videos on this topic are quite popular. However, I prefer her bi-weekly blog posts that go more in-depth and when you subscribe to her substack, you get blurbs + the links sent straight to your inbox!
- Daily Connoisseur (you can subscribe at the top of her website). One of the OG elegant/chic/Parisian living influencers for good reason! In each newsletter she writes a bit about the new month or season, links to recent videos, includes a recipe and a link to a favorite product. Short, sweet, and useful.
- The Elevated Everyday by Jennifer Melville (you can subscribe in the sidebar on her blog). She is another chic/elegant/simple living writer I’ve recently discovered. She recently did a giveaway for a couple of her books and I am all about that free book life!
- The Joys of Boys. A great newsletter for, well, moms of boys! She goes in-depth addressing a parenting challenge in each newsletter every few days. So far they’ve covered everything from screen time to developing empathy and she usually includes links to more resources on the topic too.
- The Village Green. This one is a bit different as it’s actually an online boutique, not a person. Every week they send a newsletter with a download to a classical art print, perhaps a poem, reflection on the season, etc… I really enjoy it and have saved several of the downloads to print for our art wall in the basement, whenever that becomes a reality!
Happy week before Thanksgiving, friends! I’m looking forward to sharing some holiday-related and decluttering content before the end of the year, as well as a very special book review. Time flies so quickly this time of year! Remember to take a minute for a hot drink and some quiet reading to soak it all in 🙂
