Hello friends! Happy belated St. Patrick’s Day and happy SPRING!! I’m not sure I took a single photo this week, but here’s what we got up to.
Outings lately: On Monday I grabbed coffee with a friend visiting from out of town. We went to Turtle Bread in Linden Hills, which I’d never been to and it’s so cute! (They even have jumbo GF peanut butter cookies… I resisted temptation but it was hard.) Then my dad picked up me and the kids for a walk on Tuesday afternoon. It was 55 degrees and beautiful! And on Wednesday our nanny took care of the kids for the morning and Eric and I went to Starbucks for a coffee/work date.
Celebrating lately: My mom’s birthday, tomorrow evening!
Weather lately: 40s/50s and gorgeous. I really do need to take some springy pictures. The snow is almost gone and it’s going to be 60 this weekend sooo time to break out the shorts?! #veryMinnesotan
Shopping lately: I just got these adorable flats from Oka-B in the mail. They’re cute, comfy and feminine! (And easy to clean, unlike classic leather ballet flats. #reallife) I also ordered some new t-shirts and shorts for Eric for the summer as he wears things until they have an embarrassing number of holes and I’m cutting that off now.
Then I realized on the first warm day when it was super wet out that I don’t actually have rain coats, boots, sandals or wedding outfits for April for the kids… so I quickly made an order from Carter’s! They’ve got some great sales going on right now.
I even got them matching rain coats, pattern picked by little E. They’re just SO CUTE together and they won’t let me do that forever, right?! Gotta get the matching outfits in while I can!
Cooking lately: Mini salami frittatas, cheesy quinoa stuffed mushrooms, banana muffins. The latter two are easily adaptable to dairy-free for DF people 🙂 I also have this creamy potato bake and salmon cakes on my meal prep menu this weekend. I’m on an SIL kick obviously 😛
We’ll see how the creamy potato bake turns out dairy-free though… I’ll probably actually share the recipe if it’s miraculously good.
What outings have you been on this week? And what embarrassing clothes did your parents used to dress you in? When I was little, I rocked the turtleneck/corduroys/bob cut and bangs for years… thanks, Mom haha
xx Claire
