I meant to post on Friday last week, but I ran out of time! We’ve spent so many meals with loved ones (four just this weekend :P) and with our own Easter festivities + potty training the second child, I’ve felt a bit like a headless but well-fed chicken lately.
Anyways, here’s a look at life lately. I’d love to hear about your Easter weekend in the comments 🙂
Yumminess lately: On Friday we had dinner with family and I learned how to cook steak. On Saturday we had a fajita night with family. Sunday morning we made a big brunch, hosted my mom and video-called my sister. And Sunday evening we had another extended family dinner (ham, risotto, veggies and a rhubarb blueberry crisp for dessert). I’m full and happy after this weekend–and excited to eat some more vegetables this week, haha.
Laughing over lately:Â The tabs open on my computer at the moment. We have How to be Chic: Victoria Magazine, My Top 10 Potty Training Tips, my blog homepage (because I couldn’t remember if I actually posted the Friday post or not) and this one. That sums up my present life pretty well.
Loving lately:Â I rarely set the table beyond the necessary plates and cutlery, but when we hosted brunch on Sunday, I used the cute lemon table runner I got off Buy Nothing, our green placemats and the daffodil my mom brought as a gift. I love a good table setting! I’m leaving it out for a little while longer.
Also, the gorgeous sunset over Lake Calhoun a few days ago. Looks so summery.
Wondering lately:Â What to do about the robin that flies around our house all morning smashing into the windows. We’re on week #2 of robin antics currently. Do I call some wildlife hotline to come rescue it?
Plans for the week:Â Keep on potty training, start some seeds indoors with little e, get outside on Wednesday when it’s a gorgeous 80 (?) degrees, and get the big boys haircuts on Saturday. Oh, and we have a date night planned for Friday! We’re trying to plan one monthly this year <3
Hope you have a wonderful week! Enjoy our little early summer if you’re in MN like us!
xx Claire
