Yay! We had a week of junky colds/respiratory illness and then a week of stomach virus in the family, but we are finally better. I’m excited for a relaxing weekend to recharge and work on some home projects!
I had a different post planned for today about organic clothing, but this week has just been one of those weeks if you know what I mean… so that post will be coming next week and in the meantime, a chatty life update 🙂
Checking off lately: Little A’s routine MRI on Monday. He didn’t scream the entire time–although who really enjoys an MRI?–and we were told we needn’t return until next year! He got a stuffed dinosaur for his bravery, which he loves. Overall, it was a success.
Playing recently: Little A got a play kitchen for his birthday from us (plus a couple other small things), a Montessori animal matching set from his Colorado grandparents, and a toy garbage truck + Picasso tiles from my dad. That last gift is the biggest hit with both toddlers!
Stressing over lately: Baby K needs to supplement with formula because he’s not gaining enough weight but this kid haaaates bottles. I mean like screaming-for-30-minutes-at-it-before-passing-out-from-exhaustion level hatred. We’ve managed to get a bit of formula into him with an SNS but even that, he will only tolerate when sleep-eating. I’m desperately buying different bottles, formulas, nursing supplements, lactation consults… sigh.
Buying lately: A summer wardrobe for little E. I don’t really have summer hand-me-downs in 5/5T, so I had fun picking out t-shirts, shorts and swimsuits from GAP. They have a good sale going on right now. It’s crazy that he’ll be out of toddler sizes after the next growth spurt!
I also had some Pottery Barn credits that I spent on couple adorable organic crib sheets, although I haven’t purchased K’s big crib yet. I’m busy plotting decor for our soon-to-be new space… ;P
Cooking lately: An old favorite, tuna cakes. I made them 2-3 times per week for my whole first trimester with Baby K 😛 so I’ve been burned out on tuna for a while. But I finally was craving it again and these hit the spot. Also, I made the tastiest chicken broccoli stir-fry with some shortcuts recently–so I’m thinking that will have to be shared on the blog soon.
Weekend plans: Skating lessons, errands, baking little A’s birthday cake now that we all have appetites again!
What’s new in your world recently? What are your plans for this weekend?
