We’ve been passing around the same cold as last week and I think we’re almost through it now. Only K has a bit of something still, caught over the weekend–hopefully we can shake it soon. Last week was fairly dull as a result!
We have the most beautiful blue skies here today, even though it’s a bit colder than last week. E is napping at the moment, otherwise I would be outside with him. I’ll write instead 🙂
Outings lately:Â We didn’t do much last week as middle child was under the weather for most of it. Over the weekend we ran errands, I grabbed coffee with my mom, one child had a well check at the doctor’s, and we spent Sunday afternoon at a new playground. A weekend well spent given the snotty noses and general fatigue.
Reading lately: Finished Chic & Slim and moved onto Chic & Slim Encore. Love all the reflections on the cultural differences between the US and France.
Pondering lately:Â What to do for kids’ Easter baskets this year. Our house always feels like we are maxed out on toys so I’m considering other gift options. Seeds to plant in our new raised bed? Wall decor (their rooms are quite lacking)? Summer essentials for the pool?
Weekend project:Â Labeling valentines and taping a chocolate to each one for both of the boys’ classes this week. It’s fun to do these little projects for them, and they were so happy to pick out the cards at Target!
Not watching lately: The Super Bowl. I am just not into football, never will be, and neither is Eric! I told Eric if the boys get into football someday, I’ll just drop them at my dad’s house for the big game–he and my little brother love watching football together 😛
Plans for the week:Â The usual plus summer camp registration (eek), Valentine’s Day and possibly a trip to the doctor if K’s goopy eyes don’t clear up in a day or two. This weekend we have errands, plans with extended family and a haircut for one child. We’re never bored in this house.
What’s new in your world? What are you reading lately?
