My tea party bridal shower this past Saturday was amazing. The food, the decorations, the games–the hostesses (my mom and her best friend, Ms. T) really knocked it out of the park! The shower theme was an intimate afternoon tea. We wound up with ten guests which was just the right size. Enough that a good number of my favorite ladies were there, but few enough that my introverted self was perfectly relaxed!… Read More »
Wedding Update: 2 Months to Go!
The big day is under eight weeks away, so here’s my last wedding planning update! (Here are my one year out update and 4.5 months out update if you’re curious.) We did a lot to prepare this past weekend and I’m feeling good about it, so now seemed like a good time to write a post :)… Read More »
Is Eating Tuna Bad for the Environment?
This is one of the food industry topics that I have been asked to write about on the blog. Tuna is a popular fish choice for many people due to its cost and relatively mild flavor. Some people in the winter carefully chart the shortest courses from their house, to their car, to work, to the store, back home again for the evening. They spend as little time outside as possible in cold. That’s me, but in the summer.… Read More »
Simplifying My Online Presence: Update Part 1
It’s been a little while since I wrote about simplifying my online presence for the first time and since I reflected on what Facebook “friends” are and why we have so many. (Also, I just noticed that Disqus has eaten all of the comments on that second post–what a shame! People had some great points to make about the pros and cons of Facebook. I promise I didn’t delete all of your lovely comments <3)
Since then I’ve accomplished a few more things on my digital minimizing to-do list, including a big one this weekend.… Read More »
