Happy Friday! I think when the days feel short, the weeks feel long–and when the days feel long, the weeks feel short. This was a looong day, short week kind of week in our house! Older tot had morning camp, we had plenty of doctor’s checkups and house projects among other things. I’m tired and time has flown.

Summer is definitely my least inspired season, personally. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve sat down to write a blog post lately and have just stared at the blank screen, feeling absolutely NO inspiration or ideas whatsoever. (I mean, entertaining three kids all summer will also do that to you–but I swear it’s something about the weather and long days, too.)

Happy Friday and happy long weekend to US readers! We have great plans for this weekend. We’re celebrating my grandpa’s birthday, going canoeing and for a cookout with my dad, and heading to the zoo. I’m really looking forward to it as Eric hasn’t had a day off in a while.

When your toddler has the sniffles and says “[Girl in my preschool class’s name] was sick so now I’m sick”… you know you’re in for a long week. Thankfully we’re all on the mend now but it’s been a few days of apple juice, crackers, and long naps over here.
