Just dropping in to wish you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving! We have a full long weekend planned visiting with friends, cooking (sweet potato casserole and gluten-free pie), two Thanksgiving dinners, getting our Christmas tree and celebrating a big birthday. Hoping your holiday is full of love and busyness/peace… whichever you prefer, or maybe a bit of both 🙂

We added a fourth sweet boy to our family last week!

I’ll be MIA for another week, most likely, because of the back-to-school season! In no particular order, we’ve been up to just about everything lately, including:
I cannot believe we’re more than halfway through August already. Time has absolutely flown and everyone is excited to get back to the school year routine (mom and dad included).

This past week (and really, all of May) have been absolutely crazy between two bouts of pinkeye, my dad’s birthday, Mother’s Day, a business trip for Eric (whilst the kids and I stayed with my mom) and kids’ end-of-year/start of summer events.

What a month, friends. We had so much going on between kids’ commitments, out-of-town family, home to-do’s and travel planning–and ending the month with a bout of pinkeye for 3/5 of us–that I feel like I blinked and it’s May! School will be wrapping up soon, and then we’ll have a couple of weeks free before summer activities start.
While I’m ready for summer, I’m also enjoying that we’re getting a real spring this year instead of skipping straight from snow to 90 degrees. I loveee rainy days and we’ve had a bunch of them lately (including this morning). Obviously I don’t live in the right place for that, most of the time… but I’ve been channeling my inner Sydney/Bay Area/temperate region girl and enjoying the in-between season this year :)… Read More »
