This is a sponsored post for Basic Invite. As always, all thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own.
I’m a sucker for a good piece of stationery. I have quite a large collection of invitations, holiday cards, thank-you notes, sealing stickers, etc. and I’m always on the lookout to add to my stash. Sending loved ones notes on pretty, occasion-appropriate stationery brings me joy!
So naturally, when I discovered a new-to-me company that offers beautiful custom stationery at great prices–I had to share. That company is Basic Invite, and the photos you see in this post are only a tiny sliver of their extensive wedding invitations collection.
What Makes Basic Invite Unique?
Basic Invite’s wedding invitations have several features that set them apart from other online stationery companies. Most importantly, they are almost infinitely customizable. You can change the color of every element on invitations to suit your color scheme and preferences. There are over 180 color options! Some of the invites also have foil elements available in gold, rose gold or silver.
When it comes to mailing your wedding invites, they have 40+ envelope color options to ensure that your invite and envelope match. And, they offer an address capturing service to make collecting your family and friends’ addresses a snap. Simply share your custom link on social media to request guest addresses, which Basic Invite then stores in your account. (Address printing is free with all card orders.)
In addition to invitations, Basic Invite offers many other wedding paper goods that can be made to match your invites (or not!). They have wedding programs, menus, guest books, tent place cards, really almost anything you can think of. Why didn’t I know about Basic Invite when I was getting married? 😛
My Basic Invite Wedding Invitations Review
While my own wedding is done and dusted, I enjoyed designing a few sample wedding invites and reliving my wedding planning days. Basic Invite allows you to order samples of your customized invitation before placing a mass order, so you can make sure that the look and feel is juuust right.
When my samples arrived in the mail, the first thing I noticed was the packaging. They send a folder with not just the invites, but also company notes, customization and instructions to create an address book link. Useful for a bride-to-be to have all that information right at her fingertips!
Tucked away in a neat parchment envelope were my invitation samples and envelopes. Right away, I was impressed with the quality. They look and feel like expensive invitations, with crisp, vibrant printing on sturdy textured card stock.
I ordered a few different styles ranging from quite traditional to more modern/minimalist. I’ve linked them under the pictures. To be honest, I’m not sure which one I would have chosen for my wedding–they’re all gorgeous! Obviously I’m a fan of florals, but they offer styles to suite just about anyone: vintage, formal, fall/winter, beachy, etc.
And rest assured that if anything goes wrong with your sample or invitation order, Basic Invite is there to help. One of my samples used an uploaded photo that didn’t render correctly in printing. When I contacted them for help, they immediately offered to send a replacement sample for free. So they have excellent customer service, too!
Currently, Basic Invite is offering 15% off your order with the coupon code 15FF51. So if you’re in the market for wedding stationery–or really any sort of invitation, announcement, etc–take a peek at their selection. I’m currently eyeing some of their 1st birthday invitations for Baby K this fall. Never too early to start planning 😛
Do you love stationery and letter-writing, too? It’s a rather niche interest these days!
